Volunteering

VOLUNTEER

Volunteer opportunities are available at ODGCAC for adults and high school students who are at least 15 years old.  All people who want to volunteer will have to go through an interview and training, and anyone 18 years or older will have to pass a fingerprint check and background check.

Volunteers at ODGCAC help with many different things, such as, but not limited to:

No-School Mini Camps and Summer Camp assistance:

Help teaching artists set up and take down.

Help the campers create.

Collect and hand out supplies, and set up art supplies.

Lunch, picnics, and outdoor activities should be supervised.

Set up fun games for breaks and free time.

Volunteers for creative art classes and open craft time: 

Help students sign in and out of class.

Help the instructor set up and clean up the classroom.

Watch the students in case the creative instructor has to leave the room for a moment.

Volunteers for a community or outreach event:

Help set up and clean up the tent, table, or booth.

Set up art projects for children and their families

Handout ODGCAC materials to participants at the event

Internships

Students in high school, college, or graduate school who are interested 

in early childhood education, art education or art therapy can work as interns at ODGCAC. 

In some cases, interns can get class credit for the work they do there.

Our Daily Gnome Creative Arts Center is thankful for all of its volunteers, partners, and financial supporters.
