About US

  Our Daily Gnome Creative Arts Center was founded in 2021 by Faith, who was 10 years old at the time, as she wanted to help children like her kick anxiety through creativity. 

Since opening its doors on April 29, 2022, Our Daily Gnome Creative Arts Center has offered art classes, workshops, community and strategic partnerships, and community outreach programs to children and adults in the Hampton Roads area.  So much impact in such a short period of time, we can't wait to see what 2024 may have in store for the community we serve.  Our classes and workshops are open to students of all ages and experience levels. Students in kindergarten through retirement can benefit from ODGCAC's art education programs by learning to express themselves creatively, which can lead to academic and personal success. The healing qualities of art can help people of all ages process their emotions, recover from trauma, find solutions to problems, and enhance their quality of life.

All too often, those who could most benefit from Our Daily Gnome Creative Arts Center's offerings—people with mental health issues and developmental disabilities—are unable to participate because of financial constraints thus we provide many core programs and services free or at reduced fees for people living on low or fixed incomes and persons from typically marginalized incomes.

 As a supportive and preventative means of enhancing children’s mental health wellness, our mission is to use the creative arts to activate healing, spark creativity, foster learning, empower individuals, and cultivate community connections. By offering a range of artistic activities and programs, we aim to empower children, promote self-expression, and enhance their overall well-being.
