Our Daily Gnome Creative Arts Center is the place to be when summer break rolls around! Artistic explorations will be a weekly theme at summer camp. In order to foster imagination and creativity among our campers, our experienced instructional artists introduce them to a variety of art-making techniques and encourage them to reflect on the work of other artists. Our campers have the opportunity to work with a wide range of materials during the week-long sessions, from clay and plaster to oil pastels, watercolor and tempera paints, and more. A portfolio containing the child's unique artwork will be sent home with them at the conclusion of the week! 

Each camper will have the opportunity to share their favorite pieces at a community art show at the end of the summer. Lots of different kinds of projects are available, such as mixed media, sculpture, cartooning, painting, drawing, collage, and pottery.

From July 1st, 2024, to August 23rd, 2024, there will be one-week sessions of summer art camp. Session 1 (July 1st–5th) is the only one for which individual day registration is available. Participants may choose half-day options or full day.

Campers must be  5–12 age range. Participants as young as thirteen years old are welcome to enroll as CITs. Despite having the chance to lend a hand to our teaching artists, CITs are fully involved in all artistic endeavors. Project setup and cleanup, as well as any other necessary assistance, is provided by CITs. CITs can put three hours each day toward their community service requirement. Each participant is asked to bring their own snack, reusable water bottle, and non-perishable food for lunch. No nut products allowed in any of the food. No meals or snacks are provided by ODGCAC.

Typically, campers are grouped according to their age. Please let us know at least two weeks before the start of camp if you would like your child to be grouped with a particular sibling or friend. Please send all requests to dawn@odgcac.org by email.Group placement is not guaranteed, but we will try to accommodate requests. Campers of different ages will be paired up according to your request; however, younger campers will not be paired with older ones.

Camper Registration Fee: $25 (non-refundable after April 1st)

FULL DAY CAMP-$350/week ($75/day for individual day registration during Session 1). During the 4-day July 4th week, the session price is $300.

HALF DAY MORNING ONLY CAMP- $250/week ($45/day for individual day registration during Session 1). During the 4-day July 4th week, the session price is $200.

Counselor-in-Training Fee: $100/week

Extended Care Fees: 

Before Care is available 8-9am: $15/day

Aftercare is available 3-5pm: $60/day

Cancellation Policy: Cancellation requests received by Monday, May 1, 2024 will be eligible for a  refund minus a $50 administrative fee. ODGCAC will be unable to provide refunds for cancellation requests received after May 1, 2024. If you need to transfer your camper to a different session, please contact us as soon as possible. Transfer requests will be filled at ODGCAC’s discretion. While ODGCAC is happy to complete one transfer with no transfer fee, multiple transfer requests may be assessed a $50 administrative fee for each request. We now have two options available for attending, so we are able to accommodate all abilities!

Independent Campers are invited to attend without a chaperone. For the safety and well-being of everyone, Independent Campers are able to follow simple verbal directions, clearly state their needs and wants, use the restroom facilities independently and remain in a group setting without elopement or aggressive behaviors.
 

Assisted Campers are those who may need additional help while at Camp in order to access the materials and fully participate. We invite parents, guardians, and caregivers to join us as chaperones and accompany their Assisted Campers at no additional cost. In order to maintain small group sizes, Assisted Campers can bring up to two chaperones each day.
