Policy on Adult and Youth Classes
Any artwork or photographs captured during a camp, class, or workshop may be used by our without restriction.
If a class does not have enough students to proceed, we will notify you at least one week in advance of the class's scheduled start date if we need to reschedule or cancel it.
You will get your money back if ODGCAC decides to cancel a program.
Get in touch with our Registrar at 757-819-7982 or dawn@odgcac.org if you need to cancel your class registration and get your money back. Refunds will not be given for cancellations made less than seven days prior to the start of the course.
All refunds for class registration are subject to a $20 cancellation fee.
Please contact ODGCAC at 757-819-7982 or dawn@odgcac.org in advance if you or your child will not be able to attend a class.
Policy on After-School Art Programs
All camp, class, and workshop photos and artwork are copyrighted by ODGCAC.
To secure a spot in a camp, full payment is required at registration.
All camp fees will be refunded in the event that ODGCAC cancels a session.
Please email dawn@odgcac.org if you need to cancel your camp registration. Before doing so, please review our policies regarding cancellations and refunds:
A full refund will be issued, less a $20 administrative fee, for cancellations made at least two days prior to the start of the camp session.
The camp fee is non-refundable if the request is made at least 48 hours prior to the start of the camp session. You can choose between No School Day Art Camp, Winter Break Art Camp, or Spring Break Art Camp.
Cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to the start of camp will not be refunded.
The ODGCAC staff will decide whether to grant a transfer request less than 48 hours before the start of the camp session. If approved, there will be a $20 administrative fee.
Attention: No nuts are allowed in our camps. The lunch or snack that your child brings to school should not contain any nuts or nut products. Children also shouldn't share food because of people's fears about food allergies. That covers siblings as well.
Each camper is asked to bring their own water bottle, lunch that will not spoil, and a snack for the afternoon (if they plan on attending After Care). No carbonated beverages, sugary drinks, gum, lollipops, or sweets.
There can be no iPods, handheld video games, or toy weapons of any kind (including water guns, cap guns, etc.). During camp, your child must keep their phone in their backpack, if you have sent one.
The camper will be automatically enrolled in aftercare if they are not picked up by 3:15 pm. The full cost of that day's aftercare will be charged to the credit card on record.
Pickup time for aftercare campers is at 5:00 pm sharp. If you need your child picked up after 5 o'clock in the evening, you'll have to pay the provider $1 per minute in cash.

Cancellations made after May 1, 2024, will not be reimbursed.
Your request to switch to a different summer camp session will be considered if there is availability. The ODGCAC personnel will have final say over any transfers. At ODGCAC, we value the dignity of every individual and respect their right to be addressed by their given name and/or preferred pronouns. Individual privacy and confidentiality are of the utmost importance to us, and we will do all in our power to accommodate participants' requests for accommodations related to their gender identity.
To the extent that restrooms are gender-segregated, ODGCAC acknowledges that individuals should use the restroom that most closely matches their consistently expressed gender identity.
